SunCulture Protect, Simplified

Hospital Cash
Qualify for a hospital Cash back of UGX 30,000 per night in case you are admitted for one (1) night or more at a hospital registered by the Ministry of Health. Max 30 nights a year

Life
In the unfortunate event of your passing, your family will receive UGX 1,500,000.

Eligibility Criteria
- Customers who have bought SunCulture’s Solar Pumps on PayG.
- Customers who make timely payments on their loans.

Policy Activation
All policies begin after the pump installation has been completed.

Exclusions
Risks occurring as a result of drug or alcohol abuse, engaging in criminal activity, riots, demonstrations, suicide, self-inflicted injury, war or terrorism cannot be claimed.
Report, verify, get paid.
Our claims process is conducted over WhatsApp, phone call or SMS.
All claims are paid within 3 working days (typically 24 hours) upon receiving relevant documentation.

1.Reporting
Customer notifies us of the incident directly or through our partner organization.

2. Reach Out
We call the customer to walk them through what is required to claim.

3. Documentation
Customer submits digital records of proof, via WhatsApp.

4. Follow-Up
We call the customer as much as needed to ensure they complete their claim.

5. Verification
We review the claim and establish its validity using our proprietary tech and behavioural psychology.

6. Pay-Out
Sunculture receives the outstanding loan amount.Customer receives their claim benefit via mobile money wallet.
All claims should be reported within a maximum of one (1) week after the occurrence of the claim event. Claims are processed within three working days after all documents are received.
Claim Documents Required
In case of Death
-
One of the following sets of documents proving death:
- – A Death certificate; OR
- – Certified letter from a local administrative authority or officiating religious authority and a mortuary receipt/ burial permit; OR
- – Burial Permit and coroner’s report/ mortuary receipt
- Loan amortisation schedule (for Credit Life claims)
- Copy of the deceased’s identification document (showing name and age/ date of birth)
In case of Disability
- Stamped discharge summary or Hospital report showing date of admission, date of discharge and treatment received.
- Stamped hospital invoice or receipt with patient name (stamped) OR NHIF SMS screenshot
Frequently Asked Questions
Hospital Cash: Which provides financial support/payout in the event of hospitalisation at any accredited Ministry of Health medical facility.
Last Expense(s): Which provides financial support/payout to the customer or their next of kin in the event that a member passes away.
Similarly, the insurance product cannot be purchased alone yet (even for SunCulture Cash Customers).
For all claims: Copy of ID Card (Front and Back).
In case of Death:
