What does SunCulture deal in?

How long does the battery last?
With normal use, your ClimateSmart battery needs a service once every 5 years.
What is a ClimateSmart battery?
It's a smart battery that sends you real-time, weather-based irrigation guidance by SMS, including dry-run protection alerts, weather-based irrigation reminders, and battery health monitoring for predictive maintenance.

Do you have a solar submersible pump?
Yes. The RainMaker2C has a maximum flow rate of 3,000 litres per hour and works with water sources up to 30ft deep. For deeper wells, we recommend the RM2S, a positive displacement helical screw pump.

Does the pump have a float switch?
Yes. The system detects when your well runs dry and sends you an SMS alert.
Can the pump move water 1, 2 or 3 kilometres away?
That's too far for efficient pumping. We recommend digging a well within your compound, since pumping beyond 200 metres reduces efficiency significantly.
How does the RainMaker2 work?
Solar energy charges the battery, and the battery powers your pump, mobile charging and lights.
Where does the name "RainMaker" come from?
RainMaker is our solar water pump that draws water from your well, river or borehole up to a raised tank, powered entirely by the sun.

What are the benefits of the RainMaker2 with ClimateSmart?
You get water for both farm and home use, lighting for your household, and phone charging, all powered by solar energy.
You also cut fuel and maintenance costs compared to petrol pumps.
Can the RainMaker2 system power a fridge?
Only if your fridge runs on 12V or 24V DC. We don't currently sell or certify fridges.
What is the lifespan of the RM2 system?
Every system comes with a 3-year warranty covering free parts and labour.
Expected lifespans: 25 years for the solar panel, 10 years for the pump, and 5 years for the battery. After 5 years, battery cells can be serviced for a fee.
The pump can be replaced after 10 years, and the solar panel after 25 years.

Does the pump work in murky water?
Yes. The RM2 includes a sediment tube designed to reduce blockages from murky or silty water sources.
What's included in the solar pumping system?
Your system includes solar panels, a secure mounting kit, control panel, submersible pump, water-level sensors for both your tank and water source, and all necessary cabling.

My water source is deeper than most pumps handle, what do I do?
We have higher-capacity pumps built for deeper water sources.
